Almonte "Dairy Distillery" ships 1,000 litres of sanitizer to the Ottawa Hospital
"Many of us on the team have been helped by this great institution, so it's an honour to be able to contribute."
Almonte, Ontario's Dairy Distillery, known for their Vodkow craft liquor made of dairy byproduct, has shifted production to supply the nearby Ottawa Hospital with 1,000 litres of hand sanitizer to help combat COVID-19.
"Many of us on the team have been helped by this great institution, so it's an honour to be able to contribute," said distillery founder Omid McDonald in a Facebook post.
Two days later, the McDonald's family-owned business followed up by donating 300 litres to The Shepherds of Good Hope, a homeless shelter and supportive housing organization in downtown Ottawa.
