Nav Bhatia loves the Toronto Raptors. Since they started playing 24 years ago, he’s been at every single home game, mostly sitting in court side seat A12. He was even part of a Tim Hortons promotional campaign leading up to the Raptors’ NBA Championship win in 2019. He now runs the Superfan Foundation, which unites people of diverse backgrounds through a love of basketball. His goal is to bring sports fans together to overcome discrimination.

With the NBA season cancelled due to COVID-19, Bhatia has found yet another way to spread love and support his city: driving his Superfan truck around the GTA handing out free meals to those in need. The #MealsontheMove project is a collaboration between Bhatia and television host Sangita Patel.

Through partnerships with restaurants, local politicians, and charitable organizations, Bhatia and Patel have been able to deliver thousands of meals to health care workers, first responders, long-term care facilities, youth shelters, food banks, and more across the GTA. Anyone interested in supporting the project can email contact@navbhatiasuperfan.com to make a donation.
