VIDEO: Friendly folks of Richmond, ON threw their neighbour an amazing "birthday parade"
How do you celebrate a child's birthday in this time of social distancing?
For the people of Richmond, a small town outside of Ottawa, it meant throwing an awesome and memorable birthday parade for their friend Caroline, who turned seven years old this week.
A steady stream of vehicles, decked out in balloons, streamers—and filled with Caroline's friends, family and neighbours—rolled by (slowly) to wish her a happy birthday; honking their horns, singing "Happy Birthday," hooting and hollering as Caroline watches on with family, on her driveway.
Now, either Caroline is the most popular seven year-old in Eastern Ontario—or a whole whack of strangers caught wind of this on social media; and decided to join in the parade. There's seemingly no end to the number of cards which turn the corner in front of Caroline's house. Oh, and there's a possible UFO sighting around the 0:50 mark... wait for it!
Caroline's mother Michelle posted the heartwarming video to Twitter on Wednesday:
